Friendship Gala Promises Good Food, Entertainment for a Deserving Cause, March 6

Guests to enjoy Raiatea Helm, cultural performances and premier cuisine

The entertainment and cultural performances of the Honolulu Festival begins Friday, March 6, with the Friendship Gala, featuring Raiatea Helm, the Ukulele Super Kids, and visiting Pacific Rim performers, topped with delicious cuisine from some of Hawaii’s most popular restaurants. 

The Friendship Gala is the only paid event of the Honolulu Festival, with proceeds benefiting the Honolulu Festival Foundation’s cultural and educational programs for schools and children in Hawaii.

“The gala truly embodies the importance of diversity, culture, and community giving” said Tsukasa Harufuku, president of the Honolulu Festival Foundation. “Our mission is to support cultural education in Hawaii, and the Friendship Gala is important in helping to achieve that goal.”

WHEN: Friday, March 6, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:40 p.m.)

ADMISSION: Tickets are $90 per person over age 21 or $70 for those under 21 (under age 6 are free). Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.honolulufestival.com or by calling (808) 833-3378. 

PARKING: Complimentary validated parking is available at the Hawaii Convention Center. Spaces are limited.
