Record Number of Hawaii Students Participating in Honolulu Festival's Educational School Tours, March 6

WHAT:
Approximately 1,500 Hawaii students from elementary to high school age will take part in the Honolulu Festival’s Educational School Tours to expand their awareness about the traditions and cultures of Pacific Rim countries.

Students will get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Festival exhibits, interact with performers and artisans from Asia Pacific, and engage in educational programs, including Taiko drumming, calligraphy, and storytelling.

The number of participating students this year is a record total for the Honolulu Festival. Schools taking part in the Educational School Tours are as follows:

  • Barbers Point Elementary
  • Hauula Elementary School
  • Hokulani Elementary
  • Lincoln Elementary
  • Maryknoll School
  • Our Lady of Good Counsel
  • Hawaii Baptist Academy
  • Waihole Elementary
  • Waipahu Elementary

  • Kailua Intermediate
  • New Hope Church Homeschool Co-op
  • Saint Francis School
  • St. Teresa Catholic School
