Five-O Bar & Lounge to Open at Royal Hawaiian Center

Grand opening celebration to be held throughout the month of August

Royal Hawaiian Center is pleased to welcome Five-O Bar & Lounge, a full-service bar serving a wide range of draft beers and cocktails and featuring a light-dining menu and live entertainment. Located near the Paina Lanai Food Court on the Center’s second floor, the establishment will open Friday, July 29, with a month-long celebration that includes a benefit for the Waikiki Community Center.
 
“We welcome Five-O Bar & Lounge to Royal Hawaiian Center as a great addition to our dining and entertainment options,” said Marleen Akau, general manager for Royal Hawaiian Center. “We are confident that it’s going to be popular with visitors and kamaaina seeking a friendly, laid back atmosphere in which to relax, unwind and have fun.”

Throughout the grand opening month of August, Five-O Bar & Lounge will offer:
Happy Hour daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Five-O Drink Specials including the Five-O Mai Tai, Five-O Martini and Five-O Bloody Mary each for $5; house wine for $4; and select draft beer (16 oz.) for $3
Five-O Caps and Shirts available for purchase
 
A portion of grand opening sales will benefit the Waikiki Community Center, which serves the Waikiki community through on-site outreach programs and social services.
 
The 3,500-square-foot bar and lounge has been designed with an island-inspired look and feel, incorporating Big Island ohia, koa and Oregon cedar wood furnishings and comfortable seating. With a maximum capacity of 160 people, it offers an inviting open-air ambiance with an expanded lanai overlooking the Center’s Royal Grove.
 
Five-O Bar & Lounge will offer patrons its signature flashing beer tower, ranging from 80 to 100 ounces. Guests can also choose from 12 beers on draft, tropical cocktails and a wine menu. In addition to serving daily pupu specials, patrons are welcome to bring food into the lounge area from the Paina Lanai Food Court and participating Royal Hawaiian Center restaurants.
 
Hours of opening are from 11:00 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

PARKING: Royal Hawaiian Center has the largest garage in the heart of Waikiki with 10 levels of parking and more than 600 stalls. The parking garage entrance is located up the ramp on the right side of Royal Hawaiian Avenue. The Center’s validated parking promotion offers 1 hour free parking with validation and $1 per hour for the next 3 hours for a maximum of 4 hours. After 4 hours, standard parking rates apply of $2 for every 20 minutes or $6 per hour. Special event parking validation rates are available at $5.  No minimum purchase is required for validation.
 
Royal Hawaiian Center, the premier shopping and entertainment destination in Waikiki, consists of more than 310,000 square feet along a three-block stretch of Waikiki’s famed Kalakaua Avenue. The Center has more than 100 shops and restaurants to excite every taste. Complimentary music, hula and culture classes are available in The Royal Grove. The Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and beyond with late night rendezvous hot spots.
